EAT OUT TO
All innuendos aside, we're delighted to announce that we'll be joining the Government backed scheme of Eat Out to Help Out.
This means that if you book a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday with us between the 3rd - 31st August you'll get 50% off, up to a maximum of £10, for food and non-alcoholic drinks, per person.
The good news is that if you're already booked in, you don't need to do anything, you'll automatically be eligible for the discount. For those that haven't booked, we have very limited availability through August so we wanted to let you know this now so you can take advantage of the scheme.
Remember, you can use this scheme as many times as you wish, so what better excuse to come out for dinner every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; it's the new weekend!
The Oyster Shack re-opened on the 4th July and we've been fully booked since! We're now taking bookings through the Autumn. But before booking, make sure to check out our *limited menu*
We've made adjustments to the Shack to make sure we're COVID safe - this includes a reduced number of guests, reduced number of staff and much more space for everyone to spread out.
However, we haven't compromised on quality and will be offering the best local seafood and ingredients the South West has to offer.
To make sure we can open safely, we've made some adjustments to how we work:
1 - There will a very limited number of bookings available due to reduced capacity
2 - We will only be accepting bookings of 2 - 6 people. Should you make multiple bookings, please bare in mind this is likely to cause delays in service.
3 - Please read our limited menu - we will not be able to accommodate any special dietary requirements
4 - Please follow the guidelines when at The Shack, both instructions given by the staff and the signage
5 - We'll only be accepting pre-bookings - please do not come unless you have booked a table
6 - Due to staggering the service to minimise unnecessary contact, late arrivals may not be possible to accommodate
7 - Table time is limited to 2 hours
Before booking, please make sure you have read and understood the above, as well as checking our limited menu. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
We look forward to seeing you down at The Shack for a glass of crisp white wine (or two!), a fresh stick of bread and a few of the best Oysters in the South West.
WE PRIDE OURSELVES ON OUR MANY AWARDS

HOW TO FIND US
We are located in Bigbury, the nearest towns being Kingsbridge and Modbury and we're between the two.
Potter along the tidal road past the Avon Estuary if the tide is right, or meander along the winding Devon roads if the water’s high and you will find The Shack tucked into the valley under a bright orange sail on Stake’s Hill.
If the tide is high you will need to take the B3392 and as you drive into St. Ann’s Chapel take a left by the village shop and follow the signs for The Oyster Shack. Then continue down the hill until you find us on the left hand side. If the tide is out, then you can take the tidal road off Timbers roundabout at Aveton Gifford.
Just remember to check the tide times here before you drive.
